Worked feasibility reports and editable Excel models for business planning.

GUIDE

Keep a Change Log for Your Laundromat Feasibility Assumptions

Use this blank log with your own dated documents. A sample number is not a verified value for your site.

An editable workbook helps you test a business idea. The difficult part is remembering why an input changed. Rent from an early listing, a utility figure from a later bill and a revised machine quote may belong to different versions of your plan. A short log keeps those versions visible.

Record the baseline before changing a cell

Write down each current value, its unit, the period it covers and its source. “Monthly rent, USD per month” is more useful than “rent.” Label a documented quote, a named-source estimate and an illustrative placeholder differently. Leave unknown values unknown; a complete spreadsheet entry does not prove a figure is real.

Feasivio’s Starter worked report is fixed and includes a separate Sources Annex; it has no calculation workbook. The Professional and Premium packages include an editable workbook for your own inputs alongside a fixed example report. Editing the workbook does not rewrite the report. Keep that distinction in the log so your own result is never presented as a finding from the sample case. See the package and workbook distinction.

Use one row for each change

Copy this blank table into your notes. It contains no sample prices or operating results.

Keep the document identifier beside each row. If a supplier sends a second quote, record its date and what changed. If a value came from a bill, check its service period against the period you model. Label placeholders even when you test a range around them.

Compare results only after inputs are comparable

Change one group of assumptions at a time to understand a driver: site costs, equipment costs, operating volume or price. Record the workbook version and the changed inputs before comparing outputs. A result can change because a unit, period or formula reference changed.

Read the workbook’s status and checks before interpreting a result. Passing a check means entries are complete or within the workbook’s allowed range; it does not verify landlord terms, supplier prices or demand at a location. Keep an open question until a document or direct confirmation resolves it.

Make the next call from open questions

Ask the landlord for the rent period and included charges, the utility for its tariff and service period, and equipment suppliers for what a quote includes or excludes. The log turns each conversation into a specific question and preserves the answer’s source.

Collect the documents before entering values with Evidence Handoff Before You Open a Workbook. Use the change log to track what you entered, why you entered it and what remains unverified.
